July Class Schedule

Beginning Roller Dance 

Sundays, 3:00-4:00 pm

Location: The Avalon Ballroom, Boulder (Dance studio w/ mirrors & wood floor)

Skaters will learn a variety of fundamental roller dance steps, including:

• Downtown 
• Crab Walk
• Manuals
• Zero
• Hez
• Beginning spin drills
• Beginning Crazy Leg mechanics
• Beginning Dip mechanics

Prerequisites

These classes are ideal for advanced beginner to intermediate roller skaters with either minimal or no prior roller dance experience. Skaters must be able to:

• Skate forward, aka forward stride / marching
• Stop & turn around
• Balance on one foot
• Forward bubbles (scissors)
• Basic backwards skating skills 

Skaters must be willing and able to use jam plugs and will receive assistance with installing them if needed. Jam plugs are available for purchase in class.

Wrist guards are strongly encouraged, especially for skaters who are transitioning to using jam plugs!

Class Details

• Single class, $30. Save $$ with Class Packs! Find them under the 'Classes' drop down menu on the Home Page.

• Location: The Avalon Ballroom in Boulder (dance studio with mirrors & wood floors)

• Please arrive a few minutes early so that you're ready to roll at the start of class!

• All participants must complete the one-time liability waiver before skating with us.

Class Policies

• This class requires advance online registration, which closes 3 hours prior to the first class start time (12:00 pm).
• To join this class within 3 hours prior to start time, please email us at info@SK8D8.com no later than 30 minutes before first class start time to ensure availability. We will respond immediately to let you know if space is available!
• A minimum of four participants is required to avoid cancellation. If class is cancelled due to low enrollment, all registered participants will be notified via email and/or text message 3 hours prior to class start. 
• Student Cancellation Policy: To cancel this series for a full refund, registered participants must contact us  No later than 3 hours before class start (before 12:00 pm). Series cancellations after this time cannot be refunded. Refunds cannot be given for individual class cancellations. Thank you for adhering to our policies, which are in place to protect our instructors!
